There is a different level of commitment required to becoming fit. It goes beyond merely the absence of pain and disease. This doesn’t mean however that wellness is not important. Wellness is having a basic level of health and well being. Regular exercise, good eating practices, being free of illness and injury are all parts of attaining wellness. A base of wellness is needed to develop proper fitness. Your doctor will be happy if you are well. But you will be happier if you are fit!
Being fit is actually achieving a higher level of physical, mental, and emotional excellence. It goes beyond the minimum in terms of look, feel, performance, and capability. Because of this, it takes an effort that is also beyond the minimum and it gives rewards that do the same. Fit people have the chance to be the absolute best they can be. They can have the highest levels of energy, strength, endurance, longevity, and health possible. Fitness gives them a positive base for creating and having the best things in life. It gives them the attitude, direction, confidence, work ethic, and sense of purpose that can form the foundations of excellence and achievement.
Be well. Be healthy. Then once you have those, don’t settle. Push yourself to become more fit. Work on the things and areas that you want or need to improve in. Be greedy. Don’t think that you only deserve to exist. Don’t be satisfied simply because you’re not as bad off as you could be. Strive to be as great as you can be. Seek to find all the things, physically, mentally and emotionally, that would make you feel the most happy and fulfilled. Refuse to listen to anyone who tells you that you don’t deserve those things, or are not worthy of having those things.
Invest in yourself through fitness in order to reach your goals because you do deserve it. You are capable of having an incredible and fit life! You are worth the time and effort reaching it will take, and your fitness success is worth the journey you must take to find it.
