Matt is a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist and is the author of “The Athlete in The Game of Life”. He has worked for over a decade in the trenches with clients of all ages and levels from all walks of life. Matt has a passion for fitness and keeping people capable and functional which led him to create Overcoming Chronic Pain Through Strengthening and Stretching a brand new course designed to help people overcome or prevent chronic pain (the type of pain that can be triggered due to prolonged sitting or being hunched over a computer). He wants people to be able to fully and actively participate in their lives and has seen how critical fitness can be to this. Matt’s a highly experienced public speaker and podcast personality advocating the benefits of following a fitness lifestyle. As a lifelong multi-sport athlete, Matt appreciates the importance of maintaining a level of health and fitness and has personally seen how a lack of fitness can impact life.

Kevin Myles –

Kevin has worked in the fitness industry for over 40 years. He’s earned multiple certifications including Certified Fitness Trainer, Specialist in Performance Nutrition, and Certified Master Trainer. He is the author of The Diet That Works, and former Associate Publisher and Editor in Chief of Bellafit Magazine and FitLife Magazine. Kevin is also the former manager of Gold’s Gym in San Jose, CA and currently owns and operates Bodysport.com. He is the creator of the Physique Improvement Course and the Contest Prep Coaches Course and does online training and coaching, contest preparation, and fitness business consulting. Kevin has personally given over 50 fitness seminars for business and private companies, major gym chains and fitness centers, health and nutrition stores. Even after almost 50 years of consistently working out he still absolutely loves exercising and following a fitness lifestyle!

April is a Certified Fitness Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, and Physique Improvement Specialist. She is an experienced obstacle course competitor, fitness competitor and model, and powerlifter. April is the former owner of Fit Physique where she specialized in personal training and transformation coaching. She’s also an experienced beauty pageant competition coach. April is the mother of 3 and (amazingly) the grandmother of 4! Her passion for fitness is only surpassed by her love of God and her family. April is the creator of the Strength From Within program, a unique fitness course that connects the mental and spiritual aspects involved with self-improvement and personal development with the fitness training and nutrition information needed to truly make fitness progress happen!

What is the true value of fitness?

How do you put a price on being healthy and fit? From a financial standpoint, the cost to businesses can be quite staggering? According to an article in Health Leaders Media, in 2019, employees poor health cost employers $575 Billion dollars according to the Integrated Benefits Institute. In their Snapshot of Chronic Heath Conditions, they also report that about 72% of employees have at least one chronic condition and that an employee with any chronic condition has an average of 3 co-morbid conditions. What’s more, the IBI states that only 30% of employee’s conditions are being treated and that 91% of health costs associated with chronic conditions are not due to absenteeism but from reduced performance (presenteeism). Statistics like these speak volumes in terms of the need for employers and employees to focus on health, fitness, and wellness, as a way to combat sickness, illness, and disease.

Unfortunately, too many people do not invest in or prioritize their personal fitness. They don’t understand that by doing so, they are making themselves more capable and valuable to the things and people they care the most about. Being more confident, reducing stress, having more energy, being more resistant to illness and diseases, increasing longevity and quality of life, are all proven benefits of living a fitness lifestyle. A new study by The British Journal of Sports Medicine concludes that physical activity can help reduce illness severity for people who get Covid-19!
