Your body does not get better because of easy.  There’s no need to improve when things go well.  You won’t develop drive from a lack of challenge.  When things are not going your way, that’s ok.  They’re not always supposed to.  That’s where your limits become expanded.  The point where your desire gets tested is when growth takes place; mental, physical, and emotional.  It’s an opportunity to go from where you were, to where you want to be.  It’s an embraceable moment.

Discovering fitness is like finding a gold mine.  As great as that may seem, finding the mine is just the first step. The nuggets won’t simply be lying on the ground.  Those easy to see jewels are already gone.  It’s by picking up the shovel and learning how to dig that you’ll find the real treasure.  It’s right there in front of you.  It’s waiting for you to put in enough effort to claim it.  No, it won’t always be easy, but that’s OK.  The true value will come from the effort and time that you’ll spend to unearth all the treasures you will have!

Sometimes the weights feel light, the muscles feel strong, and the workouts seem easy.  But those are not the ones that will change you.  It’s when the bar feels heavy, the energy is low, and the session is a challenge, yet you still push through and get it done, that you find the real value.  Learn to work beyond comfort and normal effort. That’s where the changes take place.
